It' Friday! Fun time!

I couldn't do the Blog Hop or the Follow Friday last week. Much too busy, but I will today!

First off is 18+ Over Blog Tag along

Photobucket

Next is:

Join the featured blog site! Looks like a great site too. Hilarious.

And last is my very favorite!!

Book Blogger Hop

"If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"

I happened to pick up a book once that was the 3rd one in a series. When I started reading it, I was confused and completely lost. I bought the other two books and then the 3rd made sense. As a matter of fact this series is one of my keepers. So YES, I definitely start at the first book now. So much easier to follow especially if the series is an intricate tale with a lot of characters and locations.

Hi Judith!!
Nice answers..... I also love to read, but as a student I have to make sure that I don't spend too much of my allowance for books. Library is always an option!!! =)

Hi, Judith! I love your story for the Hop--too funny! You definitely learned the hard way to start a series from book one. Happy Friday from an old follower :)

Starting at the first book is always the best! :) You will know everything behind the next few books and the ease will be better too.

I can dive right into the middle of a book series if the series' story
doesn't run chronologically.

That is to say, if each novel in a series is a stand-alone story (like Lee
Child's Reacher novels) then I don't feel the need to start with book one.

On the other hand, a series of books (like Richard Hatch's Battlestar
Galactica novels) can't be read out of sequence since each new book builds
upon the story of the previous entry in the series.

Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

I think I might be obsessive when I look for books now. Since there are so many series out at the moment I tend to check the back cover and see if they show any pics of other books or list them.
I was really confused with which book a series started with once so I stood in the store with my iPhone out looking up the author's website to make sure I got the first book.

Happy Friday!! Thanks for stopping by and following!

I too made the mistake of reading a book from the middle of a series. I read the sixth Anita Blake book by Laurell K. Hamilton first. Whoops!

I'm following now :)

Hey! New Follower here (thanks to Follow Friday). Thanks for stopping by my blog Novel Addiction.

As for a book budget, yikes - I don't have one! I guess I should. I try to limit myself, and I pay attention to my "must buy" releases.. so if there's a big release month for me, I won't allow myself any others that month. Usually.

Have a great weekend!

Hey Judith! I don't have a book budget. If I see something I really like, then I get it. But I always read a series in order. I like having my facts in order.
